Welcome to the Premier English Lanugage Website for the Royal Netherlands Navy. The Dutch Navy is perhaps the finest navy in the world that lacks a carrier. It will soon boast one of the world's best classes of AAW warships. In addition, the fleet continues to be in the vanguard of NATO's ASW and minehunting forces. The modern Dutch Navy is a balanced, highly professional force that packs a huge amount of punch considering the budget it has to work with. The Dutch Navy also has a fine history glimmering with many victories & heroes, such as Piet Heijn, Maarten Tromp, and Jan van Brakel.
